A local developer approached Dean Associates Architects with a
challenge: convert this former textile mill to loft style condominiums
to help meet the local housing demand of this up and coming neighborhood. A design
was developed to create 21 units on the upper three floors, along with laundry rooms,
storage areas, new stairs and new elevator access. The ground floor of the building
was converted to retail condominium space.
The design took advantage of the high ceilings, exposed timbers, and large windows of the
original factory. All units quickly sold upon construction completion.
