As the Principal and Owner of Dean Associates Architects, James oversees all projects developed by the firm, as well as being responsible for the day-to-day business operations. Before starting Dean Associates Architects James worked for over 10 years as a facility programmer, designer and architect for high-profile design firms in Boston and Chicago.

James is a registered architect in several New England states and a member of the American Institute of Architects.
